"Give him that Nazi Klan coin!"
Work tonight was utter bullshit, literally cheapass shitheads who can't grasp the 10% minimum tip rule. (IE: $39 order, $1.06 tip!)
But my last stop of the night near the University, Order total was $18.99, all veggie roll, vegetable rice, vegan-esque shit most people will rarely eat or order. But this couple did.
Early 20 somethings, both 'activists', She was wearing a t-shirt with a US flag on it , all torn up with "Not my Flag, Not my Country" and a Hammer and sickle below it. Plus had the hair of a parakeet, Blue, green, yellow and a few snips of pink added in. Her boyfriend was wearing a clearly Antifa shirt with the three arrows and the words "Who's Streets? MY Streets!", he also was 'masked up' as I came to the door, She didn't bother.
As they both fished about to pay the $19.00 bill, almost all singles, a handful of assorted coins, She looks at this coin you see here and says "What country is this from?" Showing her BF. He peers at it, eyes go wide and says "Give him that Nazi Klan coin, You don't want that coin, get rid of it!"
As I peer at the coin she hands me, I immediately recognize that "One of these things is not like the other!" and sarcastically say loudly "Great, just dump the Nazi coin on me then! What am I going to do with it?"
The guy starts closing the door and says "Think of it as your tip then asshole!" I snap back..."WOW! A WHOLE FIFTY CENTS!!! WOW!!"
He yells back "Fuuuuck you Boomer!" *Doorslam*
They gave me $19.02 cents in singles and coins. Plus this UBER RARE 1925 Georgia Stone Mountain half dollar!! Only made for the one year (I looked this up, I was shocked myself!) This will go great with the Morgan Dollar I got in May as change.
Yup, gonna keep this genuine NAZI KLAN coin! I bet you didn't know the confederacy was part of Nazi Germany from 1861-1865!
*EDIT* I find it somewhat amusing that a dozen folks dropped me like a hot potato immediately after posting this image of a collectible coin somebody stupidly gave me. Ohhh...scary coin.

I got a Morgan recently as change when the guy mistook it for a half dollar.
https://www.furaffinity.net/view/36175961/
Any half dollar pre-1963 is valuable, they were 75% silver. Some are even more valuable.

I think they deserve this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5hfYJsQAhl0
Morons like that always complain to GrubHub and Eat Street. The newest complaint from both companies is people saying "Leave at door, send a text upon arrival" to avoid the Koof. So people get their food, then call and complain "I didn't get my food! I want a refund!" And they get a free meal.
I had ONE person pull that shit with me 2 weeks ago, said I never delivered the food, yet when I returned with a fresh order, I could the previous order sitting on the table still being consumed.
Now, despite the "Leave at door and text" I call them up or knock, and wait til they open the door and I hand it directly to them. That way they they can't claim "I didn't get my order!"
But it happens literally EVERY night with the shop, and my boss calls bullshit on them each and every time now.

This is the opposite of my experience with Skip the Dishes. Tonight part of my order was missing, I asked the deliver person if there was more to the order and they told me to call the restaurant because they are responsible for the contents of the order. I called them and they told me I have to call Skip the Dishes to get refunded for the missing item. So both parties say, nope talk to the other guy.
That half dollar has seen a lot of wear. But that's still a rarity.
A definite case of fools and their money being separated. I wonder if they even realized what they had? That also raises the question, how did they even get this treasure? I wonder if any of those singles were also silver certificates.

Given its general condition, and the obverse, I'm wondering if they mistook it for one of those "golden dollars" minted in recent years. Apparently, about 1 million were minted, making it common, but only by the standards of other commemorative half-dollars of the era. $65 in "almost uncirculated" condition (which this probably isn't). Seems to be an interesting story behind it, though, and a coin well worth keeping.
Oh hell yes. Its actually been quiet here the past 3 days, but on June 1st it started REALLY getting nasty with massive protests, blockades, vandalism , looting.
I have zero problems with peaceful protests, but when a small contingency of people use it as an excuse to vandalize, loot, commit arson it stops being 'peaceful'. I witnessed a small mob bum rush two guys trying to prevent a florist at the bottom of State street from being looted at attack them. Chasing them around a corner. I was ten feet away when it started. I found out that the mob physically beat the living shit out of those two men with 2x4s and a crowbar. Breaking numerous bones and requiring a lot of stitches. How is THAT peaceful? Of 97 Businesses on State Street, all have been looted, And they were just about to open up that Monday after the Covid-19 shutdown. Of those 97, 42 will not reopen or return. Many were generations owned family businesses going back to the early 1900s. How is that helping in the protest of George Floyd and his memory? How is it helping ANY of the businesses that were looted, burned and destroyed in all the cities?
I swear the extreme left seriously wants this country to become another Venezuela.

When I was a Best Buy employee, I had a teen come to my line and buy a ton of CDs and hand me a $100 bill.
A almost crisp 1934 Yellow seal $100 bill!
I gave him his change and soon as he left I dug out $100 out of my wallet (Just cashed my check that morning) and put it in the till and carefully put that Yellow seal bill away. It was worth at the time around $400-$500.
A few minutes later police show up, asking questions. And demanded to see the bill. I showed them the bill, even said I placed my own cash inside the drawer to account for it. The police took it from me. Apparently this teen broke into home and stole a sizable money and coin collection and was freely spending it all over. They recovered roughly 75% of the stolen collection. They caught him as he was trying to buy a game system with a stolen $1000 bill. I never got reimbursed for that bill since it was stolen. But for a half hour...I owned one!

In todays cancel culture, ITS EVERYTHING!! Christ, now the kids show Paw Patrol is under attack, TV shows that feature police are now cancelled. Gone with the Wind, the 1939 classic film, winner of 8 Oscars , including the first Oscar to a black person, Hattie McDaniel, has now been deemed verboten to view or sell. The social media is painting anybody who not 100% behind BLM as racist. Its become a Hive minded thinkspeak.
This is seriously a sad state of affairs.
This is seriously a sad state of affairs.
When was the last time you watched GWTW? Didn't you notice how condescendingly the Black characters were treated - "I don't know nuthin' 'bout birthin' babies!" ? ("Song of the South" is right up there too- they should keep the animated sequences and only show the live action parts in classes on racist depictions of minorities.) MGM promises to bring the film back, but with some contextual information about the time and attitudes of its creation. (Similar to the disclaimer at the beginning of my Looney Tunes Golden Collection discs explaining why the cartoons are uncensored.)
Yes, Hattie McDaniel won an Oscar for her depiction of a stereotypical "mammy" character - and had to give some sort humiliating acceptance speech about being a "credit" to her race. (I wonder if she was let in the front door to the event or had to take service entrance?)
Don't worry too much about "Paw Patrol" - I'm sure it'll survive the current moment. (Personally, I find the dogs really cute.) BTW, the social media is painting anybody who not 100% behind BLM as racist is on the same level as the right-wing media trying to paint antifa (and by extension, all protestors) as an organized "terrorist" group. Tucker Carlson screeches antifa buses are coming to YOUR TOWN to attack YOU personally!...guess what happened next:
"Multiracial family on camping trip accused of being antifa and menaced" - https://tinyurl.com/y7kx5kby
I agree with you that we are currently in "a sad state of affairs" - but for very different reasons than yours. Oh, and judging from some of the reactionary comments I've read on FA and the internet... "hive minded thinkspeak" cuts both ways.

I view it as the morons who didn't know what they had, I plan to keep it, cause I certainly never seen one before. I'm actually shocked that the BF didn't scratch BLM across the coin. If he did, its just worth melt price. Its still an interesting coin.
On the ones who unwatched me, I think they just kneejerk reactioned. Safe bet cause they saw Nazi Klan and hit the unwatch button without reading the description.

Sorry you got a lousy tip. It happens. And also gratz on your 2nd rare coin!
As for "Not My Country, Not My Flag" shirt on those 2 loser activists, if these commie progressive liberals were told to GTFO of the country or that they would be deported for whatever reason, they would kick and scream bloody murder, run to get a lawyer and demand to stay in the country they claim to hate. smh

Aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!
You posted something scary! I’m gonna report you as a racist and block you from all my feeds!!!!
Seriously?
I’d say I’m surprised at the stupidity of both those customers, and the followers who left.
But it doesn’t take long watching the news to remind me that today’s society is full of mindless sheep.

Because Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson were clearly Nazis -- decades before Adolf was even born. Yeah, virtually any coin rapidly approaching the century mark is going to be valuable. Years ago, I left a waitress two Sacajawea dollars on an $8.95 order. She screamed at me and threw them at my face -- right in front of her boss.
By the way, my standard tip (unless the server is a complete $#!+) is 20% -- 25% if the service is good.

The folks I worry about are the Boogerloo boys who like to play camo dress-up and strut around with their scary-as-shit automatic weapons and talk about violently overthrowing a democracy (because they know their fascistic values would never win an election). Already been quite a few reports of these people showing up at BLM rallies. A guy wearing an "I Hate America" T-shirt isn't threat to my life - these guys are.
What really pisses me off about them is a lot of them wear those flowery Hawaiian shirts ("Boogaloo" = "Big luau") - I have a bunch I used to enjoy wearing but they're staying in my closet for the foreseeable future; I don't want give anyone even the slightest suggestion I might be part of that crowd.

Also, here's 24 words about this neat coin I just got as a tip! That happened too.
This is about the coin, right? Not something else?

Showing off the neat rare coin you obtained here would have been a nice addition to your gallery and maybe that's what you intended to do when you began. Instead you ended up spending far many more words to paint the people who gave it to you as your political enemies and that's really the point you wanted to make isn't it?
I will say, one thing I do miss about working retail was the ability to run across some amazing finds, money wise.
I've got a bunch of old money I've collected from working a register like a $100, $50, $20, and a $10 bill from 1977. Only missing a $5 and $1 dollar bill to complete the set.
Also have a handful of drummer boy quarters and a silver certificate $5 bill which isn't in the best of shape, but still one to keep.
I also have five consecutive $1 dollar bills i got from a new stack of money.
I probably have some more but I need to go back and look. Been a minute.

I just wanted you to feel what it's like to have your own murderous notion turned around and aimed right back at you. Cowardly of you to block me to try to prevent my responding. I bet you still think you're a good person despite wishing people dead over a political disagreement.
Kinda weird that somebody finds difference between russia's idea of communism and national socialism, oh, yeah, under national socialism, (in addition to exterminating people which both totally did for idiotic racist/religious/even-folk-lore reasons) the rest of the country could actually not starve to death. On purpose. Голодомор was a real thing.
Rounding up jews to send them to "vacation" or rounding up random folk musicians and sending them to "paid concerts where people will totally listen to you" are completely different things.
Poland was basically exterminated by Germany first and USSR second.
The fact that the confederacy fought for shitty things is a thing, sure.
But at least those punks should learn history instead of following slogans.

The real bad part is that people don't see that revisionist history always starts like this, and is and was a progrom of communism. Of course the same people also don't realize that communism and nazism are two different sides of the same totalitarian globalist coin. Of course they don't teach history in school anymore either. Upton Sinclair complained about this in his "Goosestep" diatribe on the state of American education in the 1920's. Nothing has changed. "They" are still at work erasing our very existence. And for those who would shun me for my comments as being a Nazi -- I lost family in the ovens to that asshole in Germany (inspired by Margaret Sanger of planned parenthood), had survivors with tattoos on their arms when I was a kid (Courtesy of Mr. Watson of IBM). Some of my family fled east to resist and die at Stevastopol, the survivors of which only to eventually to be sent to the gulags (not so bad according to a Burnie staffer), or disappeared by Stalin. Communism the opposite of Fascism? not to the victims. Read for yourselves folks, just don't believe the news and the damned internet. Oh, and Lee was a very highly respected officer in the Union army, who only went south because he had to follow his state. He was not an ideologue. He was one of the highest graduates in his class at West Point. Unlike Grant who was next to the bottom of his class. He was very highly respected by both Grant, and Lincoln (who carried a picture of him during the war). He was also the first person at his church in Richmond to kneel for communion with an African American after the war, when the rest of the church shunned the gentleman. But if you cared for the truth in history, instead of CNN, etc, you would know this. (aimed at the leftist rantors who will flame me after this, not the owner of this page).
