I feel obliged to write a bit about this illustration. I drew it in January 2020, a month or so before everything imploded in American grocery stores. When seeing someone hold a bag of exposed groceries without a mask didn't look ... threatening.

It's my teenage-ish dragon character Salt, who's 100% inspired by grocery store employees I've observed. I LOVE my local stockers, cashiers and baggers! Making a furry character embodying the energy of a grocery store was a fun project for me. Then covid-19 happened and made things awful for those employed by American grocery stores.

Then drawing a furry grocery store employee just got depressing so I left him alone for a bit. I even feel funny about uploading this.

Now I'm kind of returning to the idea of the character Salt... Hopefully I finish a character sheet soon. He's a good boy.
