Basuki is a Javanese Green Peafowl - a Peacock to be precise. His species comes from the island of Java in Indonesia, which is where the origin of his impressive wedding clothing comes from. It is traditional amongst Javanese Green Peafowl to give the women brilliant stitched clothing overlaid with gold, and the men slightly duller patterns. Basuki has had his portrait taken while waiting for his marriage ceremony to begin.
