So this past week I have become a real furry artist! First, I got a spammer putting links into comments. And then today as I was drawing this, the rubber dome tip of my stylus came loose. I was almost done and could finish off with my finger, but for a while at least I'll be roughing it. Or maybe finding the other stylus that I have around here somewhere. (This is a first-generation iPad, ten years old, so it's just, you know, a metal stick with a conductive-rubber ball on the end.) In normal circumstances it'd be easy to pop off to Best Buy and get a replacement, but in normal circumstances I probably wouldn't have taken to doing these daily drawings.
So today's picture is, for no good reason, a copy of a Harvey Comics panel. Wendy the Good Little Witch here was used by her mean Aunts to demonstrate their talents to the Queen of the Witches, by turning her into a donkey. This particular panel is actually from them turning Wendy back, per the Queen's command. Most Harvey Comics transformations are quick poof bits of work, but that can be quite pleasant too. Wendy shows off to the Queen of the Witches her ability to make an angel food cake, which the Queen loves, and which wins her a prize, a broom with a backseat for her black cat.
Until drawing this I did not realize quite how seriously Wendy's got hips.

I'm afraid I don't know the original issue it came from. The story --- Wendy in ``Taking the Cake'' --- was reprinted in Dark Horse's Harvey Comics Treasury Volume 1: Casper the Friendly Ghost and Friends, which is where I got it. This was a slender 200-page full-color collection printed in 2010 edited by Leslie Cabarga, not the enormous 500-page mostly-black-and-white collection volume that came out about the same time.
