Like many others, I've been a furry for many years and have met lots of people. Some became my friends and a few even earned my trust to become close friends. I've had people claim that I was the most wonderful person in the entire world, that they'd love me forever and protect me against everything evil in the world - but regardless how profound their devotion to me have seemed, many of them are long gone by now and completely refuse to have anything to do with me today. So much for loyalty. For lots of people who express interest in me, I am naught but a passing fancy. When I was granted this exquisite opportunity to commision Kemono himself, I wanted to share this moment with one person who has been my rock all the way, someone who I know with 100% certainty would never let me down - My most faith guardian, Zephyr Dreadwing. Yeah, someone will surely laugh at me and say, "Omg, he is not even real! He is just a character that you've invented yourself, you DORK". This is not untrue, but the thing is, humans are just too inpredictable and unreliable to trust like I do with Zephyr. Lot's of people can hardly fathom what loyalty is. It has been nine years since Zephyr was invented and drawn for the first time, and even back then, Zephyr came to exist because I needed someone.... ANYBODY... who would always be there to make me feel safe. Even if he was no more than a figment of my imagination. This is my ode to Zephyr Dreadwing, the embodiment of loyalty - may he keep the concept of loyalty alive as a treasured value after it has completely faded from the realm of reality.
