Man oh man THIS one was a long time coming! I got the honor/pleasure of working on a bigger piece way back when for  Magarnan of his super cool draconic species-- drachnians, I think?-- with world building involved. This was before I started learning Blender, but I still wound up kitbashing her entire head structure and horns in Sculptris at the time just to get a sense for what it would look like in space, and hoo boy it saved me a headache, that! I don't get to paint elaborate backgrounds terribly often, so this was a treat and a half, especially for such a polite (and patient, oh my god thank you for your patience) commissioner.
