I've been meaning to get this up sometime now since the riots broke out in Minneapolis. Especially after seeing the Target looted and burned.
Sadly these looters don't think out the reality in the long run what they helped contribute to. The loss of a business, the loss of jobs, possibly never to return that area again. Especially the smaller, family owned businesses that the owners sunk their lives and life savings into. Insurance won't cover the losses. Especially since 99% don't have "Civil Unrest/disturbance" portion in their insurance coverage. Cause who thinks that in an area without a history of rioting and looting?
Deep down I utterly HATE looters, arsonists and Rioters who do this to a business in the guise of protesting. I hope they all get serious karma damage for what they've done!

I would just like to sit down with one of these looters and calmly ask them: How in God's name is this helping anyone? How dose burning down houses, looting stores and robing people of their homes and livelihoods help the oppressed? I honestly just want to know the mental gymnastics involved.
I made some replies, to that YouTube video, I do not agree with her viewpoint of taking revenge. I used my own life as an example. Yes I know no one will believe me, they will think all the same cliches of "...you be whitey and you lie! cuz all whitey's lie", syndrome. But everything I said did happen to me the way it did. because I am not prejudiced and proved it, 5500 members of a dangerous Hispanic gang know I have honor.
I see the logic of the videos argument about living in a society of haves and have-nots and humans are inherently selfish. If you see money on the ground most will pocket it without a second thought, or in this case grab a TV while a store is being looted.
My problem with looting is not only is it wrong but it can have long term consequences that hurt the whole community. Some of these stores will just pack up and leave when this is over, taking a bunch of jobs with them. Not to mention it's not just stores that are being looted but sometimes people's homes as well.
These people aren't looting to survive, you don't need a new TV to live, nor is it about revenge because Target didn't kill anyone. It's selfish, short sighted people that are causing long term damage for short term gains.

Large scale looting will drive away business which will result in higher unemployment and that will raise the local crime rate. A higher crime rate will drive off more business resulting in a vicious cycle. If you want to check my math look at the history of Detroit.

I walk across the street and get in other people's grills and demand it because it is the right thing to do.
I walked across the street, after putting my car in park and closed the door, to demand a white guy apologize to a Black woman for using the N-word followed by the B-word.
I was in a tailored shoulder-padded European cut suit, and looked like Godzilla with my Dan Post cowboy boots on, with the two-inch heels, I became 6'7 with all this.
The Black woman was ina business suit, the white guy was in relaxed wear. I told him I would wipe up the sidewalk with his face. Everybody honked and screamed at me to get back in my car(we were all waiting to turn left at the light.
Eventually, the white guy apologized the right way, instead of the half-hearted way he originally did, I walked back to applause and cheering I did not KNOW either person, never saw them before, or since.
What I want to say here, is this: NO one helped me, to make people be civil to one another, or save their life!
No one stepped in and knocked Chauvin off Floyd's neck to save his life, including the person that videotaped the whole thing, HOW COME?! Had I been there would have, even if I was arrested for interfering in a police arrest, because it was the right thing to do. I probably would have been shot and killed by the other three rookies 2nd day on the job cops.
But rest assured Had I been the one killed and George Floyd was still alive, but in jail, NO ONE would be protesting my death, No one! this is not about George Floyd, this is not about race, it is about revenge. If you can't see that you need to step outside your prejudices and look at the whole thing from a perspective of a person that does heroic things but is not looking to be a hero. I do things that are the right way, I can't NOT step up and take action, to enforce what is right.
Also, I know CPR and could have brought George back to life!

I wonder if stores record the S/N of TVs these days. Pretty much anything over 19" is a "smart" TV now, so couldn't companies just poison pill it if ever connected to the internet? :D Bring a big message up "This TV was reported as being stolen and has been disabled" or something like that.

The funny thing is that the shitstian looters and vandals will still scream 'We dindo nufifn to that! The man burned it down!' and they will still gripe about 'The man din bring back non o dem jobs after we burned dem down!" Then they will still claim to be the victims as their neighborhoods and communities grow poorer as crime rises.

Fun fact about tear (AKA CS) gas: It damages your lungs if you breathe it in. I know at least one Marine who was medically discharged due to the damage it did to him during training exercises.

I think this is a factor you will notice that NONE of China's military has contracted the Virus. This makes one ponder on whether the military inside of China decided to loose this upon the world on purpose because they have been at war with the USA, South Korea, and even Russia since 1952.

I expressed my disapproval of the looting and destruction and got I got called a racist because I was focused more on the stealing and destruction rather than Floyd's death. I honestly don't get how me thinking looting is a bad thing makes me a racist, but I guess when you play stupid games, you win stupid prizes.
I believe the term used is 'Collateral damage' from those who caused the rioting and looting.
I still haven't heard a peep from BLM over the murder of David Dorn in St Louis. Why is it a retired and beloved police chief, murdered by looters is ignored? Dorn was a black man, murdered by a black man.
