I UHHH >//> didn't... use refs or resources for this one, I was just very high and determined I guess? ^^;;; Though generally, I have spent a LOT of time drawing mouths and looking at pics and tutorials of them over the years! I tend to treat the inner humanoid mouth shape as 2 horseshoes stacked on top of each other that hinge together at the open ends; each horseshoe covered in a convex dome-ish shape; the tongue as a similar shaped blob of muscle attaching to the base of the lower-jaw dome. I hope that makes sense!
