"Hm. Taking a break from the mascots?"

"No, I'm still working on that. It's a lot harder to find them with most of the leagues still in lock down mode. I would normally introduce myself after public appearances, but now they're all either living in locked down venues, or sheltering at home." (sigh) "Naturally, they're a lot more suspect about the strange fox-skunk hybrid offering to be your pet when she shows up at your front door. . . And a lot less receptive when the wife and kids are watching."

Tera:
"Ah. So who's this?"

Verity:
" Lupamcrescent, or just Crescent for short. Officially, I offered her one of my other selves so she can do research on both werewolves and how they differ from more amorphous shape-changers like myself, and on the reported hyper-reincarnation that occurs in her world. But unofficially, I offered to be her pet just because I thought she was cute."

Tera:
"Kay." (pause) "And the tiger?"

Verity:
"I, uh. . . Thought it was Crescent's runaway belly-pet and, you know, helped return him. But Crescent called him a 'night guest' instead, so. . . I'm guessing that means she didn't intend to keep him.

"Worst case scenario is Crescent digests my other self with the tiger still inside her, and then my other self phases into the spiritual realm and comes back to the rest of me with a new tiger.

"Officially, he'll be the ambassador to the Associates from Crescent's world. . . But unofficially, he'll be my new cuddle kitty." ^_^
