This happened during our Second session of D&D which was still part of the same campaign as the first one. Only difference is. We lost our Kobold who could not attend this session and gained a wolf from the far distant future who happened to be neon and think this was all a dream.

As the adventures ventured deep into the forest they come across a very large glowing pulsing boulder that seemed to put the giant arachnids into a trance like state.

(At this point we all made perception checks Only for Marai and Dave to score very low and Korr'ha score very high)

Upon inspecting this rock Marai simply took his Fire Pomeranian and shoved it against the rock to see if it would do anything. (it did not) While yelling. "DO SOMETHING"

Next was Dave, The neon wolf who thought this was all a dream. Placed his hand upon the rock and merely said. "Oooh Shiny Rock!"

This left Korr'ha to actually check it out and find out this was some sort of comet that had landed there a very long time ago and had very magical properties. Knowing it smart to try and chip a piece off to try and take it back to the wizarding school to see if they could run tests to see just what these magical properties could do to and extent.
