Pearl walked into the little wooden shack, spear in hand. Lapis had gone missing, and she knew she'd last been seen around here; the pale gem was ready for a fight.
She looked down to the floor and froze. There stood a tiny, rubber Lapis Lazuli doll, sitting limply on the floor. Was this a clue? She made to run over, but suddenly froze.
"Where do you think you're going?"
Aquamarine floated out of the darkness, grinning impishly - Eyeball followed behind her, giggling. The blue gem held her wand in her hand, pointing it at Pearl and freezing her in place.
"Looks like you're just in time to join our little puppet show," grinned Aquamarine. "We already got your little Lapis friend, and she really needs a co-star, doesn't she, Ruby?"
Eyeball nodded. "Oh yeah, she definitely does."
Pearl's spear clattered to the ground. Instead of being alarmed, she thought - 'hmm... yes, she does need a co-star, doesn't she? But where am I going to find another puppet?'
Aquamarine played with her wand, and Pearl's arms lifted into a t-pose, her mouth twisting into a small smile. She began to shine as her body transformed into rubber.
'Oh!' she thought. 'Of course, I can be the other puppet.'
As Aquamarine and Eyeball laughed, she did a little ballerina spin - strings burst from her head and limps, connecting to a wooden rod above her. As Aquamarine swung her wand to make her dance more, she shrunk down, little by little, until she was about an inch tall.
'Yes,' Pearl thought, 'I am such a lovely puppet. Please, somebody, put on a play wi-"
Aquamarine put away her wand and the new puppet clattered to the ground, her thoughts pausing as her strings slackened. Eyeball walked over, grinning as she picked up the little rubber doll and planted her on a shelf out of the way.
"So, which one next?" she asked. "Maybe one of their human friends?"
Aquamarine glanced from the Lapis puppet to the Pearl puppet.
"Maybe," she mused. "Let's make them 'make out' first! Imagine how demeaning such a human behavior would be for them!"
She grabbed Lapis' control rod and Eyeball reached for Pearl's, ready to have some silly and immature revenge on the former Crystal Gems...

the movie and future series doesn't add much but give Pearl a possible love partner and someone who has a crush on her, other then that not much of merit happens other then Steven having emotional problems and more unnecessary baggage placed on Pink Diamond retroactively, like Baruto its only really interesting to watch for a few minutes to see where your favorite characters are then tune out.
so check it out if you wanna see everything being perfectly fine with little to no stakes but Stevens having a teenage drama-fest

Since you've written a lot of me, I thought I'd return the favour.
