The first gunpla I pre-ordered: the Windam with Jet Striker.
The GAT-04 Windam is the Earth Alliance's latest mobile suit that appears in Gundam SEED Destiny. The successor to the GAT-02L2 Dagger L, the Windam is the latest in the Dagger Series Mobile suit line of the Earth Alliance, redesigned with increased mobility, and carries over the Striker Pack System, and a performance said to be compatible to it's ancestor, the Strike Gundam.
Weapons wise, it's equipped with CIWS on the head & chest, a beam rifle, two beam sabers, anti-armor penetrator bombs, and a bladed shield equipped with missiles. Due to it's newly designed shoulders, it cannot use the Launcher & Sword Striker Packs, but can equip the Aile, Doppelhorn, Jet, and Multi Striker Packs. It's said that a skilled ace pilot can hold it's own against ZAFT's Gundams.
The Windam was first deployed at the beginning of the Second Bloody Valentine War, as part of a nuclear attack fleet targeting the PLANTs, but were destroyed by ZAFT's Neutron Stampeder. Afterwards, Windam's were commonly seen on Earth equipped with the Jet Striker, giving them atmospheric flight. Many Windams encountered ZAFT's warship, the Minerva, and were destroyed by it's mobile suits through various encounters. During the Campaign against LOGOS, the Windams that sided with LOGOS continued fighting against ZAFT at Heaven's Base, and in space, though at least one Jet Windam was part of the Earth Alliance Forces that joined ZAFT against LOGOS. By the end of the war, the Windams in space joined the Three Ships Alliance to defeat ZAFT.
Only one pilot has ever been known to pilot the Windam: Neo Roanoke, who is really Mu La Flaga, but brainwashed by LOGOS after barely surviving his supposed "death", the leader of the Earth Alliance's Phantom Pain, a black ops special forces unit that is LOGOS' private army. Neo's Windam has his own personal colors of purple, black, and light green, and is equipped with a Jet Striker with it's limiters removed or dialed back for increased speed & output, until it was shot down by the Freedom at the Battle of Berlin.
