It's sad that the amusement-park and fairground season is pretty well shot. Who doesn't enjoy wandering the lesser midways and finding this rarity from the Eyerly TFcraft Company? While muscle-powered attractions are rare --- it's basically impossible for operators to control ride time on them --- they're out there, and they're a special thrill. The design of the loading platform implies this is the second-generation model, built from 1962 to 1976, but it's quite possible that parts were scrounged together from several units by an operator who wants to keep the attraction going.

Yeah, so, I had a dumb pun-based, but I repeat myself, transformation-gimmick idea and figured nobody would be undignified enough to draw it so I'd have to do so myself. Don't worry, though, after two months of serious daily practice I still don't have enough faith in my abilities to design my own cow. This is based heavily on figures Walt Kelly drew. (Although I did attempt a pencil sketch myself, first, before looking up what Kelly might have done. I turned out to be not so far off. Also that the cow I thought I remembered in Ten Ever-Lovin' Blue-Eyed Years With Pogo was in fact a moose.) Not featured: the ride operator because this was already about 35% more complicated a drawing than I could do. This would be a good one to come back to in a year's time to re-draw, if I'm still drawing then.
