Nele is a horse herbalist living in the woods. She is at first ceptical when Gavin and the group arrive at her doorstep and ask for help to find the true identity of Laer-Jion's vessel. Seeing Gavins burnt wrist she immediatly offers help and lets them into her cottage. But she still wants a token of loyalty before she is willing to tell them what they want to know. After explaining what happened so far she gives Gavin something to dye his coat and medicine for their travel, sending them back to Malora - much to Kilian's horror.
After things go south she is arrested and brought to Galoria, the capital city of this state, for treason and conspiracy, where she is miraculously saved by Gavin, Kilian and Leon.

Nele is kind and caring and - like all horses - does not wear her real name when among other folks. She lives to the hippocratic oath and helps those in need, even if they are enemies. Being of the prey-folk she has a well-sorted secret hideout cave in the woods where she stays while Gavin and his friends set out to Malora. She develops a little crush on Leon but is rather shy about it.
