A short story depicting the ferret/black fox magician Telemain in his apprentice days, alongside his Master Skeve. This is an early work, back when the character was largely meant to be comedic. He's turned into something rather different after I've RP'ed him. Anyhow, hope you enjoy the work.

Note: In case I haven't fully explained it in the text; Telemain has a jinx known as the Majide, and one of its effects is to make... unusual things happen when he or his associates attempt to gain money by magic.
