Not too long ago, 
ZyrephDragon commissioned some art of his dragon and mate enjoying a cuddle, and the picture was made up by 
WinterBlueArt. First off, go check it out - it's a very cute piece. ^_^
Anyway, while talking one night, I mentioned to Zyreph that I could give colouring the head of his dragon for a nice FA avatar, and did. :) It uses the original artwork save for the eye, which was redrawn slightly for a better look with the character on his own rather than with his mate. Pretty pleased with how it turned out. Finished it, oh.... a couple weeks ago maybe? Just getting around to posting now. Maybe one day I'll get to colour the whole thing. :)

Oh cool--I like how you gave the shading enough contrast so it stands out at the icon size, but still retained a fairly soft feel to it.
Ha ha, damzit 3d modeling...all I can think of is trying to find that omni light in the scene and moving it around to see what happens. :P
