So, what started out as a sketch with the intention of going no farther than that, blossomed into this. Way past a sketch, not quite a complete picture. Yup, somewhere in the middle.
Honestly, I kind of like this style of shading and what not. Also, I am extremely inexperienced at feral dragon anatomy :C
Also, I fucked up the size of the hand in the forefront, and I think I made his head just a tad too big...
Anyway, as you can see, Slate's markings change significantly when feral. And he's a big dragon. Even though I didn't draw anything to compare size to, he is roughly 50 feet tall at the top of the head in this picture.

I think by far my favorite thing about feral Slate is the eclipse's position, it's awesome
the markings are beautiful in this form too
I think next thing you'll need to work on is the reflected light of the blue

I really love what you did with the wing membrane and the back of the him
Contrast is as good as ever
and I don't think the head is too big, especially if you want somewhat disproportional extremities like hands and feet.

*smiles* You did a wonderful job with the feral look. The posture and structure of the legs look great, even if the one hand is just slightly big. :)
I really like the wings, and the way they're attached along his entire body. A very unique design.

The 'big hand' is the correct size, it's the other one that is too small. It isn't supposed to be like an anthro hand, but more of a combo between a hand and a foot. It is dextrous enough to manipulate things, but not much beyond that, as it is used mostly for walking.
Also, Slate is almost always serious, but if he's gone feral, then there is some serious shit going down. Like, fate of the universe kind of shit.
