I've decided that this personally has been overdue for sometime, I'm writing stories about magic and I'm not really establishing anything else other than exposition. So this post will be a more in-depth explanation to the magical system that my books use.
First and foremost, this magical system focuses on one key principle-
-[Magic cannot be created (by mortal means) and or destroyed]-
So if that is the case then where does magic come from?
- All magic comes from the Gods of creation. There mere presence shedding magic like endless waterfalls that seep into every reality, and every dimension that they govern.
-The three primary gods, White/Gray/Black
White Governs the Heavens
Gray Governs the Mortal Plane
Black Governs the Underworld
-These three gods compose the base of all magic and are the heads of the Tritalistic Pantheon.
So let's start with the absolute basics
There are five primary elements of creation
-Omnion or otherwise known as Gray magic serves as the true and absolute base for all magic, as all magic is derived from it. The other Primary four listed after are merely transformations of this source "material".
-Venfas is the magic that represents a lack of physical structure and is one of the primary three elements that compose 'light' magic.
-Kenlon is the magical representation of heat, whether shedding or retaining, and is one of the Primary Three Elements that compose 'Light' magic.
-Dimen is the type of magic that represents structure and or order; and is one of the Primary Three Elements that compose 'Dark' magic.
-Qire is the type of magic that represents things that lack heat, and is one of the Primary Three Elements that compose 'Dark' magic. (Please note that I am only saying Qire represents a lack of heat to keep the definitions similar; but it's more about a lack of 'Form', an object or noun that has structure but not solid state form like rock.)
'Light' and 'Dark' magic aren't titles of evil or good styles of magic, but merely an observational diagnosis.
-Light Magic is about types of magic that have no physical form, shed light, or are "hollow", meaning you can put your hand through them and not be impeded. (Rebon/Kenlon/Venfas)
-Dark Magic represents the types of magic that have physical forms, don't create light, and or cast shadows. (Gaie/Dimen/Qire)
Each element can coexist or be manipulated to simulate tasks similar to that of other elements except their opposites, for example:
-Qire most commonly refered to as liquid manipulation, can take on the form Dimen style magic by creating ice, it can also represent the Venfas diagonal of it, by creating steam or snow. However, when working with Kenlon style magic, it's opposite, it commonly combusts and turn into a type of magic called Camunos.
Now, that the primary Five are basically explained I'll now explain Rebon and Gaie style magics. As you no doubt can guess, these represent the light and shadows style magic, however it's not that simple.
Rebon and Gaie are both general types of magic for a wide swath of magical practices and fields, Angel/Demon, Light and Shadow Manipulation/Energy and Void divine styles just to name a few. The most Commonly practiced in this selection being Light and Shadow Manipulations.
(Please note, that just because you are a Rebon or Gaie Mage, doesn't make you a good or evil person/being; it is always through ones actions that you should judge someone by (This does also include Demon and Angel styles-I will explain later))
Each Magical field has a series of subclasses one can be specialized in:
-Venfas along with Dimen Mages can specialize into the Mines ([Min]ute-[es]sence) style which is commonly refered to as Dust, and or Sand manipulation, otherwise giving structure to something without structure.
-Kenlon and Venfas Mages can learn Valon, an energy style of magic that is best translated from Dragon Dialect as "The fire that cuts the sky".
-Dimen and Qire Mages can learn a form of manipulation commonly refered to as 'Mud'/'Ceramic' Magic.
These styles of magic aren't the only ones, there are more, but I will review those at a later date.
(It is highly recommend staying away from the 'forbidden' styles of magic unless given direct permission from the from the Council of Seven; (Sonoes or sound style/Reon otherwise known as the blaze style/Dion-Tri, Fleshing Sculpting/Qies-Tri otherwise known as Blood Puppeteering))
Thank you for reading the Foundations of Magic, if you have any questions please leave a message below or a send me a note. You're question maybe just important enough to include in the next update.
