Of course my sci fi lore needed some spaceships so here you go. Here's some concept ships for the UCR Unitary Navy whom boast some of the most powerful and largest ships in my galaxy with their largest and (rarest) ships ranging in the 10-20 of kilometres in length and armed with weaponry that can obliterate entire planets. The Unitary navy is also possibly the largest navy in the galaxy as well with tens of millions of ships scattered across the Republic's space and beyond, engaged in an unending war with traitorous rebels, hostile aliens and mysterious entities, and occasionally other major powers of the galaxy in a mission to protect the Republic's interests and citizens since its creation.
These ships here are only some of the many ship types that are in service of the Unitary Navy of the present. These are the most common ships of their class and its a grantee that these ship classes will be present in almost any standard UCR fleet. It should be noted that while Unitary ships are heavily armed and armored, they have fairly weak shields and often have barely defended underbellies. Excluding the smaller escort ships, UCR ships also have terrible mobility and speed. The Unitary navy also has a fetish of ramming into other ships apparently.
-Hydra Class Battleship: A 3.4 kilometre battleship armed to the teeth with dozens of broadside cannons, plasma cannons, and laser cannons, Hydras and other class battleships often serve as the flagships of UCR fleets and are feared among the enemies of UCR. While slow, Hydras have thick ass hull armor which can withstand he heaviest of punishment. They can also carry up to 4 Viper Corvettes and around 6 fighter/bomber squadrons for support in combat.
-Manticore Class Supercarrier: One of the largest carriers of the Unitary navy, the Manticore can house dozens of fighter/bomber squadrons, 4 Viper Corvettes, and entire army regiments for planetary invasions. Due to its role as a carrier, Manticores aren't well armed compared to other ships of its size and instead mostly relies on its fighters in combat although it is able to take on other ships by itself however.
-Wyvern Class Cruiser: The most common front line cruiser of the Unitary navy, the Wyvern Class is armed with dozens of cannons, broadside cannons and due plasma guns that can melt right through enemy ships with ease. These warships can hold up on their own against most threats and survive, a reputation that has earned them the likeness of many in the navy. Wyverns can also hold up to 4 fighter/bomber squadrons for support.
-Alyphn Class Frigate: Slightly smaller and less armed than the Wyvern but no less dangerous. Alyphn Class Frigates serve as escorts for the more larger ships of the Unitary navy and are a very common sight. They have a similar load out of armaments to the Wyvern and can carry a pair of fighter/bomber squadrons in their hangers.
-Basilisk Class Destroyer: The most common destroyer class in the UCR, Basilisks are a formidable and effective ship that can hold up reasonably well in battle despite the high casualty rates Basilisks are infamously known for. These ships serve as escorts for larger ships and are notable for being one of the few ships classes in the entire Unitary navy for being armed with torpedoes.
Viper Class Corvette: Small, agile, and decently armed and armored. Viper Corvettes can pack a small punch against larger targets but their best used as escort ships against enemy fighters and corvettes. They can also be carried by much larger ships as picket ships such as the Hydra Class Battleship.
Gecko Class PT: A rare oddity in the UCR navy, Gecko PTs are actually the only ship of its class and are primarily armed with torpedoes rather energy weapons. They are small and serve as a rarer patrol ship that can engage larger threats due its torpedoes which can cause major damage to the enemy hulls.
Newt Patrol Craft: Possibly the smallest "ship" of the Unitary navy, Newts serve as light patrol ships and fighter screening ships for other larger ships. Newts are notably very agile and fast due to its small size and powerful engines. However, Newts are lightly armored (compared to other UCR ships) and have no shielding what so ever which is compensated for by grouping large amounts of Newts to form"Newt packs".
