Leaving the navy doesn't necessarily mean never face watery perilious situations ever again!
Indeed Armand as left the navy to become a diplomat and then swaped his sailor uniform for a suit, a tie and a top hat.
Then as he was assigned on a new mission to strenghten relationship between the French in Indochina and the Dutch in their East Indies, he was sent to Batavia to meet it's governor.
But his ship was attacked by Javanese pirates on the way and they thought than rather to ask for ransom, he would make an ideal sacrifice for the siren of the black creek to ask her not to shipwreck them.
He was then gagged, tied up to a boulder then threw overboard to sink to the bottom of the creek 30 fathoms under the surface.
There he tried his best to break free without success and saw that many skeletons chained to boulders were already there.
Determined not to joined them he continues to strugle, good thing his navy background granted him to have been trained in holding his breath for more than five minutes.
Then he soon saw a shape lurking nearby, the siren was here, stealing his top hat that had sunk at his feet to playfully wear it on her head. Was she about to eat him? To let him drown? Or to have some fun with him while he is defenseless and unable to breathe?

Hope his lungs are ready cause it doesn't seem like he'll get free anytime soon. At least the siren seems to have taken an interest in him. At least long enough to delay his intended purpose, buuuuut not being able to breath underwater gives him little time anyways I guess. At least he's cute all bound up, gagged, and running out of air deep underwater.
Don't worry i am still writing the story for I uploaded it at 1.30 am and i had to interrupt my writting, but your siren and name will be mentioned in the description like it deserved this evening when i finish the story.
