Nice! It's a 3d model with 2d shaders right? If so how did you do the motion blur / smear frames just like a hand drawn 2d?

Thanks, it's made pretty much like how you described. The character starts as a 3d model and is rendered with 2d shader. I then go over it in a 2d program to do hand drawn touchups, such as the smear frames. The backgrounds and effects are all hand painted and added in compositing software.

I can't wait to see the finished result.😄 I keep getting goosebumps watching this one. I like how he's silhouetted in the first portion, the dramatic depth of the scene, the rust-coloured atmosphere, the background sets the mood of the run. The second portion, as he tries to gain his balance there's a brief sensation his right hand nears the screen, as well as his expression, really conveys the excitement and close call of the scene nicely. Your work is AWESOME⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
