This would be the female counterpart of the dire wasp. Once a dire queen becomes pregnant, she loses her wings and rapidly expands with offspring which she will continue to do for the rest of her life. This is a very very early stage of her progression. I meant to draw an entire series showing her progression but got wrapped up in my usual human-based belly art. Perhaps I'll revisit her later when I get bored. :P

Amazing. You have created a bug I find cute. XD I do have one question: does she grow her wings back after her young are completely out on their own or is she grounded for the rest of her life? Or is she like a lot of other bugs that give birth and then die? o.O; Sorry to pester.
Like alot of queen insects such as ants and termites, she will remain in a constant state of pregnancy with multiple young at once. As each young is born at least one more begins its development inside her. She will remain in this constant cycle until she dies. Oh, and thanks for the comment!
