I started out with a "Lance Duke Touring 250cc" Scooter. Very good start and training for the road. I am qualified to rid a motorcycle as well and was trained by the best group in Oregon "Team Oregon" motorcycle cops even go there to get better and learn more. I wonder if other states have a group like that?
I always recommend starting with street/trail combo bikes in the 100cc-250cc range. Everything's rubber and plastic, so they don't get hurt much when you drop them, they have very forgiving handling, and usually lots of low-end torque to help learn to use a clutch right, and they're relatively lightweight (this is why MSF uses them for their training courses).
Yes, but this dragon needs more Training. I mean, look at him/it. He isn't even looking at the turn at all, he is looking off in the weeds at some girl bike...dragon or something. Got to keep the eyes on the road or end up in the weeds. Keep at it BW, i have hopes for ya.
Oh and this is a technique for higher speed turns on a motorcycle. Leaning over into the turn places more of your weight and the weight of the bike perpendicular to the forces that want to put you in the weeds, gravel, trees, etc off the course or road. This also allows the tires to ride a bit more on the edges and by a neat trick of physics get a bit more traction. As BW says, dont leant too far. You will catch a foot peg and instantly become a physics demo of the scraped kind, i.e. a body in motion tends to stay in motion unless a force act on it. Simple. And the armor does wear out, which is why it is replaceable. Just some fun science while we wait for more training.
And yes, science has shown that artistic types are best at high speed things, fighter pilots, race car drivers, motorcycle racers, surfing, the type of things that require thinking and non thinking at the same time. Go figure, :).

Yes, but did you know you can also train your panda?
