Fire goes FWOOSH.
My complete half of an art trade with the fabulous crystal-for-ever! :D I loved drawing this character; she's pretty tight and I got to actually color FIRE. Iiii have never colored realistic fire before, so it was a learning experience... many thanks to the people in the stream who critiqued me as I worked! xD It helpd a lot! :D

I REALLY LOVE THIS!!!
I have a tablet now and might take my first attempt at drawing and coloring fire in a digital manner too now. I'm glad my suggestions helped you while doing the flame effects. Actually, if you need someone to look over anything or give you an honest artist to artist perspective opinion or critique I'll be glad to help you out with that. =P
You did an incredible job on the flames though once you got on a roll and adding the red after helped make that nice flame-tongue effect. The general rule of thumb with fire (even controlled ones) is that the flames will want to spread out in just about every direction as if the fire itself wants to expand and feed on something that'll burn. Flames.. the ever outstretching.. ever hungry thing that wants to grow and consume all that it can. =D
