James and the Crystal of Shrinking (Click for Animation)
So anyways, big brother
jamesneko apparently got jealous so I gave him a shiny new present oh my what's happening now!?
25 frames.
Ow. Ow. Ow. I tried to do more frames to make it smoother, but found it's really hard to recreate the same shape slightly smaller over and over again.
I actually have an idea.
Also at the suggestion of
koopusk I did a zoom in of sorts at the end.

Getting better all the time you talented little werekitten! ^^ *scruffles your headfur playfully*
You say you do this on your DSi, right? And you spoke of OnionSkinning (the transparent overlay of the previous frame) and all animation software has that- Adobe Flash... Everything! It is meant to imitate the lightbox originally used by the hand-drawn animation greats like Disney and the Termite Terrace greats for Warner Bros. It's how the best animators work.
I love the way you did the shrinking here, Calex- How the details simplify as James becomes smaller and smaller. It just lends to the atmosphere of the piece, and it makes the diminishing form more "believable" in a sense, than just taking a single image and resizing it, making it progressively smaller.
*blushes and smiles* You did a good job incorporating that element I suggested- Now we know that James is a happy little kitty all the way down there! *squints* Though removing what I know about the pic from your description, it looks sort of like he's thinking of who might have done this to him... Perhaps if it was a speech bubble with a solid line leading to James, instead of a thought bubble. But it works like this. It works perfectly well just as it is.

Hey he can't be talking about me doing it to him! I have pointed ears! >.>
Big bro, lion ears, round.
Me, cat ears, pointed.
But yes yes I see the point. Hmmmm. Actually I had one idea of having a magnifying glass slowly move over, but then realized that would add like an extra 30 frames. o.o;
So yeah.... Maybe arrow is a better option.
