Finally, an artwork of the girls from "Home on the Range" done in watercolors like in the front cover of a Disney Magazine I still own in my drawer *curse you Disney for cancelling Disney Magazines* Anyways, I will admit that maybe one of my favorite Disney features has some flaws, but that never stopped me from adding it to my favorites list and I see nothing wrong with using cows as main characters in a movie as some people whine about. Honestly you don't see me whining and complaining about a rat that can cook food in a Paris kitchen, so why is using cows as main characters any different? The truth is that there is nothing wrong with that, just like there is nothing wrong with talking car characters in a harmless Pixar family film. Both "Cars" and "Home on the Range" have a reason for existing, not to please everybody in the whole world, but to put smiles on faces for the true fans they're appealing to. I don't even care anymore if it's no "Lion King" or "Beauty and the Beast" because it doesn't have to be like those films just to be noticed, as long as there are people out there that love it for what it is. This charming and wonderful film is nothing like "The Black Cauldron" as some stupid film critics compare it to *bunch o' snotty know-it-alls*. It's more of a flashback to the Golden Age of Animation of cartoons from the 40s and 50s like Pecos Bill, Johnny Appleseed, Song of the South, Alice in Wonderland, and Peter Pan. As I look back to that age, I remember that not all of Walt's films were a big success on their first time, but that doesn't mean nobody cares about them today. In fact, if it weren't for me setting eyes on those past features the first time in my childhood, I might not have drawn this picture or be that appreciative of HOTR right now. And I never would have drawn all that fanart or do my own miniseries of my own bovine character. So I'm thankful for that. And it's time for me to start acting like a true HOTR and Disney fanatic and not care what other people say.
