Another playable race from my setting, which these Patreon Rewards are helping Populate!

This time: the Nature Spirits

ah... the hamadryads... spirits that bring the word of the goddess Gea. (and obviously the artist seems to have been inspired by a certain Smite Skin)

The fair goddess of nature, and all that it entails.

Usually sex, atrocious murder, devouring and lots and lots of pointless death. Also war.

Also: technology and inventiveness... because you better bring everything you have to the table, since she ain't stopping her punches until you are dead or you survive to bring on descendants.

Aaaaaalso she *will* kill you if you are not careful in using what you bring to the table by "winning too much" and forgetting that you need the rest of the world to survive.

That's nature for ya...

The hamadryads, therefore are these (female only, like the goddess) shapechanging spirits capable of taking the shape of a tree or... a bark-skinned woman, as a power they can either spruce up their allure or their defenses, thus making other people feel friendlier towards them (bonuses to initiating and sustaining a peaceful dialogue) or "barking up" and cutting in half all the damage they might receive (because in time of war the best defense is just taking as little damage as possible) their tree shape is... just a tree.

They can use it to get fed for free (in case the player is a cheapstake) or as a disguise. They can actually still move as a tree, but very slowly in a sort of root-slitering way.
