This is something I've never really noticed in cartoons, but I'm definitely going to look out for it from now on.

Though it does remind me of how often it bugs me when a character is in jail or a cage, and the bars are drawn in a way that they could very easily slip between them, yet they don't.

Isn't that still slightly wrong, though? It looks to me like the arms would smash against the wall and lock up so it still can't rotate.

I admit I freehanded and eyeballed the whole thing, and yeah, in practice there'd actually be a titch more clearance at the bottom of the swing, as it were.
