There's been a lot of good flight stuff lately. The flying wyvern-things in Avatar were so much fun to watch, and got me thinking again about how much fun it would be to fly. But it was How to Train Your Dragon that really did it right for me. Even if there were nothing else about it, the dragon-flight in it was great, and for some reason, really caught my attention. And fortunately, the rest of the movie was great, as well. Having dragons in it (Especially one as adorable as Toothless!) certainly was nice, but it was still a very good movie even apart from that. I could probably geek-out at length about everything I liked, but the part that's most relevant to this pic is, of course, the flight. That's something I wish I could do, so much.
And if I could, the coast off Berk looks like the perfect place for it. Lots of terrain to fly through. Fun!
Makes me wish we had some sort of dragon flight-sim or such. Sure there are some games that have dragons, but they never really fly like dragons.
Though the movie did make me think a little about how stable I'd be in flight with a "slick" tail like that. I dunno, maybe I'd be adjusted to it or something.
(Drawn while listening to the movie soundtrack, even. I think "Test Drive" has now become my flight song)
