Back to Walt Kelly! Reproduction of a Sunday-strip panel wehre Albert shows off his excellent skill at reading. The weird pupil placement is from the original strip, although not surprisingly Kelly placed the dots so they look less weird. I'm not positive that the eyes weren't actually ``correctly'' placed for the tilt of his head and that it's his opera glasses that make them look off-kilter. Anyway this time I paid attention to the way Kelly placed Albert's fingers, where you can see the full arc of his middle finger and partial arcs on his first and third fingers. In earlier pictures this sequence I've drawn all the fingers with the same arc and, yeah, this maybe works better for a hand held like that.

Also I think I did a fantastic job on the book there.

That Albert has a lorgnette means I don't owe  Tim_Kangaroo the usual royalty fee on furries with glasses.
