Having waited months, working for the very institution he wishes to join, Max is finally able to join the ranks of the Academy, a prestigious institution which trains up magicians whose skills are highly coveted. The skills, however, come at a price. Is it one that Max is willing to pay? Or will he break before he's even started?
Here it is, finally done, the first chapter of the novel I've been working on for well over a year. I hope you all enjoy reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it. I will be posting a new chapter every Sunday, so keep an eye out for future chapters. Also, as a warning, this novel will have disturbing themes throughout it, though it will still be 'clean'.
