Have a look at my idea for (more or less) main characters in the comic I'm working on;

They're all pretty clever kids enrolling into a fancy college, Ahal Academy. It's mostly Avians, the smartest species in-world.


Jimoku:
Avian, Pelargos "flamingo stork thing";
Popular adventurous kid, likes to be involved in absolutely everything going on and also taking plenty photos and selfies while at it. Likes to run from responsibility.

Emily:
Eutherian, Ratte "rat possum thing";
Nerdy introvert that gets dragged into all sorts of adventures by friends. Often feels the need to show off intellectually to prove she stands a chance among the Avians, might come off as a smartass.

Muzza:
Saurion, Biawak "monitor-lizard iguana thing";
Joined four years late due to ... troubles in his homeland, Balil Kafesh. Pretty good with computers but unfortunately he's insecure and finds it hard to trust anyone... Doesn't help that Saurions got a bad name in Ahal...

Apua'ana:
Aquatic, Aniwaniwa-ika "tropical rainbow fish thing";
Heard of tales of aquatics coming to Ahal to make a living on land and decided to try it out. Finds electronics interesting, but she's not entirely accustomed to land mannerism and society. Unnecessarily nosy and touchy, might be a bit too naive.

Luis:
Archosaur, Cipactli atlak "crocodile dinosaur thing";
Shows up occasionally to tell bullies to get off Muzza and Emily's backs, or to ask for help with homework. His tongue slips a lot, he accidentally says mean things and feels sorry afterwards.
