This is the first in a series of 4 pictures I created in order to use up my old coloured inks. It follows the journey of 5 furs who make the effort to try to change something in their lives for the better, however hard it seems at first. It's designed to illustrate the chorus of the song "You Can Get It If You Really Want" by Jimmy Cliff, which is all about bringing about positive change.
A lady cat is so overweight she's out of breath climbing a staircase. A young dog is tired of having nobody in life. A raccoon doctor can't bear seeing another young life shattered by paraplegia. An erudite old vulture loves books and longs to write his own novel. A working-class wolf hates his unskilled, low paid job and longs for riches.
They all want change. But do they have the will to make it happen?
