I have a pack of three street dogs lounging all 'round my feet at the moment. I found them over a year's time, some ten years ago.
Trust me on this one, people, rescued dogs truly appreciate what you do for them. They remember the street and/or their former bad homes. You being the loving Alpha they didn't have before means the world to them, literally. If anyone *can* get two or more Rescue Dogs, then please in the name of the Lord God, do so.

Think of adopting a couple of Galgo's when I get my own place. Little to no allergic reaction with them.

I've been there! I hiked up the nearby mountains though, to the various firetowers and camped out. Cold...even in april.

That pointy plant reminds me of a lot of the stuff you would find down here.
