Can you believe we only had 5?!!! That's incredible.
It's possible, but we're fairly sure that these were the only ones born. She's still a little plump but is now a bundle of energy and she's doing a fantastic job of being a mom. She's a little nervous but is rather welcoming at the same time!
You can see the milk bands on most of them, all of them are pretty healthy.

like most all rodent babies, rats are born with their eyes and ears closed as well as no fur. Its kinda funky looking but they'll have hair when they get a few weeks older. It comes in like peach fuzz first and then looks normal and soft, then more of an adult coat.
... unless one of the parents was a hairless... then you get some that only get the peach fuzz and nothing else.

hehe I swear somedays I have pinkie-itis, only satisfied by staring at adorable pictures of litters on goosemoose XD I've never had a litter of my own, I plan to foster many more for the rescue. I'm so glad this is such a small manageable litter ^_^
