Background: Originally, Black-hammer was to guard the Cypher Division under orders from his superior, King Kakuza of the Seven Samurai Swordsmen of the Oceans.
Eventually, after learning that King Kakuza was selling information to other The Depth villages, Black-hammer killed him and took The Warhammer of destruction for himself. Though the Fourth Mizukage commended him for his loyalty to Kirigakure, killing his comrade caused Black-hammer to become disillusioned and came to realise that the world was filled with lies. It was soon after that Black-hammer was approached by a mysterious figure who was was a Spirit helping him getting him to understand that not all worlds are filled with lies, as she was known as Queen Pandora. After seeing the truth that there are some people that are good, Black-hammer insisted that she reveal herself, leading the masked stranger to show Black-hammer her face. After explaining her motives and the Eye of the Moon Plan to Black-Hammer, he was initially sceptical of the mysterious Queen, but the notion of a "world of truth" enticed him.
Ablilities: Black-hammer was an extremely powerful Samurai Ninja warrior who earned admittance into the Seven Samurai Swordsmen of the Ocean and later The Lords Of Shadows. He easily killed his former master, a member of the Seven Swordsmen's strongest generation while the man wielded The Warhammer of destruction against Black-hammer. He claimed to be the best Lords Of Shadows member at capturing targets alive, proven when he successfully captured the Legendary Kaiserus Shark with little effort. He also overwhelmed Buraki at full strength and could battle an entire elite team with diminished strength single-handedly. On separate occasions, Black-hammer proved to be more than a match for Guy (one of Zen-Aku's's top Samurai Ninja Warrior), forcing the latter to open six of the Nine Gates against only a 30% power clone, and seven gates against the real Black-hammer without his Warhammer
