Nifty idea. I'd be keen to give it some play testing if you need testers. Though D20 is good, the market is flooded with the product. I'd say go for something different, if your planning on selling it people will buy it 'cause it's Mobius, not cause it's D20.

d20 is the only system that allows fans to publish their work under the open gaming liscense for free and provides enough flexiblity to be manipulated to the Game Makers Needs. The WOD system is alright but very clunky and CyberPunk systems has the same fault.

While you seem to know what you're talking about and while WotC do allow you to publish your own work, it does have some traps. For starters WotC can take anything you publish and say MINE! claiming it as their own and under the OGL you're left out in the cold.

Another problem is while Wizards will allow you to publish the material the owners of Sonic (DiC/Archie/SEGA/ETC) may not want their characters used without you paying them money. It's what killed the Stargate SG-1 RPG, the licencing money each year was unweilding and the games system was dropped.

World of Darkness IMO is smoother than D20, which if presented wrongly(see D20 Call of Cthulhu) can be a trainwreck. There are ALOT of systems out there and you can even make you own system up, I have twice in the past. As for testing, people online who can test your system then report back to you is cost efficent(If their doing it for free), but also try to run some test games at RPG tournements and conventions, the input you get and the way people run their pre-gen'd characters will give you alot of insight into Game development. I agree with Lex and teske, you will need to make it stand out against the other rpgs out there.

Well that's just the thing, We're doing this for the fans and also for the fact that we want to make a guideline more or less of how to create a balanced/realistic character.

I know me and Tsunami are So tired of meeting people who's OC's are like "Ok he's like this military experiment so he's super strong and nothing can hurt him also he has Psioncs, oh oh also he's good with guns like really good!"

Crap like that erfs us. but we're not in it for money we're in it to contribute something to the community.

So like it'd be a free PDF or something? And people will always makes over powerful characters, by making it D20 they'll just go I have 18 in all my stats, 'cause I rolled good', and they'll all be epic level fighter/mages;p It's just how some idiots want to play, a game is a game. I applaud your effort though and hope to see a final product=)
