Jolly Jim Rogers was a notorious buccaneer during the golden age of piracy. But then one day he broke into an ancient temple and tried to steal an idol off the shrine, angering the god it belonged to. The diety then laid upon Jim a terrible curse. His soul was bound to his own bones and thus fated to walk the Earth as an undead lich, forever denied passage to the afterlife.
But the god was not without mercy and gave Jim a way out. To undo the curse and release his soul Jim must perform one thousand good deeds.
