One Reason Why Mixed Species Flatmates Are a Terrible Ide...
[new style of world-building: creating in-world sh*tposts]
Imagine if these speciments all share one flat;
an Archosaur, an Avian, a Saurian, a Eutherian, and an Aquatic
Well, the tall ones can't help their parental instincts around smaller biped talking creatures, even if they're the same age... And they might be a lil' bit haughty and think only they are competent at anything so yeah... Can't feel good being on the receiving end of this.
[also shows some other stereotypes lel]
- Archosaur: big and strong vaguely crocodilian looking dinosaur
- Avian: big and big-headed vaguely avian looking dinosaur
- Saurian: small and weak [but pretty clever] lizard/reptile-like creature
- Aquatic: small and dumb [but pretty strong] amphibian fish-like creature
- Eutherian: small-medium and sheepish mammal-like creature
Gonna update the species colourings in a ref soon so keep your eyes out for that~!

The Archosaur and Avian probably mean well but it would come across as condescending and annoying to the smaller species particularly with everyone involved being an adult. It would only be in their settlements that everything is sized for them that the smaller species would be impaired after all, though can get around well enough by themselves. I'm sure if they needed assistance from their flatmates they would ask for it in which case they'd be grateful for it rather than feeling constantly embarrassed and awkward.
It could easily be the other way around if you had an Archosaur or Avian in a primarily Saurian, Aquatic or Eutherian settlement where they'd relatively speaking be big clumsy giants so I think it just need a little understanding and imagining yourself in their world. If someone looks like they're struggling then if you ask if they'd like help and if there's anything you can do, is probably the best way to go about it.
