I thought of this story's idea while talking to
blazeinflator on Discord, so I decided to give it a go.
Talking Tom, Ben, and Hank belong to Outfit7.
Tom, Ben, and Hank were in the studio, bored with nothing to do. “Hey, Ben, you have any new ideas for an invention? My idea well is running dry.” said Tom. “Same here, Tom. I don’t have any ideas as well.” replied Ben. “How about you, Hank? Maybe you have some weird ideas we can turn into apps.” Ben asked. “Sorry, Ben. I don’t know either.” answered Hank. Then, Tom and Ben browsed the Internet to look for any new ideas, or any inspiration for new ideas. Suddenly, their bellies started rumbling. “Hey, guys, I think we should go eat.” said Hank. “Besides, we can’t think of new ideas on an empty stomach.” he added. “Good idea.” said Tom. The three of them then went to the diner.
In the diner, the three looked at the menu, looking for what to order. “Alright, boys. Have you got your orders?” asked Rhonda. “Oh, I’ll have a grilled cheese sandwich, please!” Tom replied. “Me too.” Ben followed. “What about you, Hank?” asked Rhonda. “Oh… um… I think I will have a burrito.” Hank answered. “Alright, then, boys. I’ll have your orders prepared.” said Rhonda to them. A few minutes later, the three got what they ordered and began eating. When they finally finished eating, Rhonda came back to tell how much they needed to pay.
“Oh, Hank. I forgot about something.” said Rhonda. “You don’t have to pay for the burritos if you could beat the diner’s burrito eating record.” she continued. She explained to Hank that the current record holder had eaten 800 burritos in one sitting and was strong enough not to go into a food coma afterward. “You need to eat at least 801 in one sitting if you want free burritos.” told Rhonda. “But, if you decided to give up mid-contest, or couldn’t eat anymore burritos before reaching 801, you have to pay for as many burritos as you’ll have eaten.” she added.
At first, Tom and Ben discouraged Hank from entering. “It’s not worth it.” said Tom. “Yeah, think of the risk.” Ben followed. “Remember the time you took the sundae challenge?” he continued. However, Hank likes eating challenges so he tried convincing the other two to let him join. “But think of the reward too, you guys.” Hank said. “Also, what if you guys make a food counting app for these sorts of challenges?” Hank asked them. “I’ll be the first to use and promote the app.” Hank added, trying to convince Tom and Ben. “Well… alright. But, first, we need to make the app.” Tom said.
Tom and Ben paid for their food, excluding Hank’s, and went back home to make the app. Surprisingly, it was quick for them since the app they made wasn’t that complicated. While Tom and Ben were developing the app, the diner was busy cooking burritos for Hank.
“Alright, Hank. Using the app is very simple.” said Ben. “I’ll just enter your name and insert the name and type of the challenge and you’re good to go.” he explained. Ben then did what he just said on the app. With that, Hank could begin the challenge. “Wait, before we begin. I think I’d like to do it outside.” said Hank. “I think eating over 800 burritos will make me as big as an elephant.” he continued with a little giggle. Tom and Ben helped move a table outside where the plates of burritos will be put. Now, Hank should be able to begin the challenge.
“On your marks… get set… go!” shouted Rhonda, beginning the challenge. Hank started eating the burritos as quickly as possible, eating two or three at once. In the span of 15 minutes, he’d eaten about 50 burritos and he kept eating more as Tom and Ben cheered him on. The counter in the app kept counting as Hank ate more and more burritos, as if they had a tracker inside. Just as Hank expected, the burritos slowly made him fatter. His belly grew bigger, coming out of his blue Hawaiian shirt. As Hank ate more and more burritos, his clothes got tighter and tighter as his body continued to outgrow his clothes. The gaps between the buttons of his shirt got bigger, and he could feel more pressure as his pants kept stretching as his pants tried to stay intact. Good thing for Hank, he didn’t wear any belt, or else the pressure would’ve been bigger.
About an hour had passed and Hank had eaten about 200 burritos. Hank’s legs finally became too exhausted to stand up because of his very heavy body and Hank continued his challenge sitting down. His body was like a heavy balloon, about 1.5 times his size. Buttons started flying from his shirt because Hank’s shirt could no longer stay intact. As Hank’s belly was now in contact with the table, Tom and Ben brought the table further away from Hank so that Hank’s belly wouldn’t push the table and make the burritos fall. They decided to bring the plates of burritos to Hank instead. There weren't many burritos on the table and Hank still hadn’t felt full at all. “This is too easy. How about we increase the difficulty by making the burritos spicy?” said Hank, confidently, to Rhonda. Rhonda went to the kitchen to fulfill Hank’s request.
250 burritos had been finished, leaving nothing but plates on the table, and the next batch of burritos had arrived. They were spicy just like Hank requested. Confidently, Hank tried scarfing more burritos at once so he could achieve his target even faster. Just like Hank, the customers watching him eat also gained confidence in him completing his challenge. Now, the effect of the spiciness and the beans from the burritos finally started kicking in. Hank felt bloated, not with burritos, but with gas. His stomach expanded twice faster than how his stomach should’ve expanded from eating the burritos. He started feeling heavy, from the burritos, and light at the same time, due to the gas. He felt like a strong gust of wind would blow him away as his stomach kept filling up with gas, and only the weight from the burritos would help weigh himself down.
Hank actually felt his body becoming tighter. He started feeling fuller, because of the gas filling him, but he also felt like he could eat more burritos as the gas made more room in his stomach. “Giving up?” teased Rhonda, poking Hank’s soft belly with her elbow. “Nggh… not yet.” Hank responded as he kept eating more burritos. Hank would love to relieve some pressure to stop the tautness, but he’d also face the consequence of being embarrassed from doing it in front of so many customers, including his friends. Hank’s body was now triple his original size with his belly button popping out as an outie. He couldn’t reach the plates of burritos Tom or Ben were holding, so they decided to stand up on chairs to reach Hank better. Hank then held the plate from them one by one and quickly ate from the plates.
Another hour had passed and the app had shown that Hank had eaten 500 more burritos. Now Hank was about 20 feet tall, and he was as wide as he was tall. “51 burritos left? That’s easy!” Hank confidently exclaimed. “Spicy or not, I can do it!” he continued. The next batch of burritos arrived, and Tom and Ben started bringing plates of burritos to Hank using ladders as the chairs were no longer tall enough to boost their heights. Hank started to feel fuller and fuller, as if he would burst but he knew he couldn’t give up, not only because of the massive amounts of money he would have to pay if he did but also because he only needed to eat less than the batch of 250 burritos to win. Slowly, Hank ate the burritos again one by one, so that he wouldn’t get sick and fail the challenge. The app’s counter also went up slowly as well. In 30 minutes, Hank finally ate 50 more burritos. “One more to go…” said Hank, feeling his stomach hurting from being too stuffed with burritos and gas. Hank tried to eat one more burrito so he could complete his challenge. His friends and the other customers wondered in suspense if Hank could do it or that he would get sick and fail instead. However, Hank ate the last burritos, making his burrito order free. “Yay! I did it! *BUUUURP!*” said Hank, as he sighed in relief.
“Yay! Congrats, buddy!” said Tom, giving Hank’s belly a light punch. “Hehe… thanks, Tom.” Hank replied. “But don’t punch my belly, please. I don’t wanna stink up the place.” Hank added, trying to hold in the gas. As they were ready to go home, Hank tried to stand up so he could walk but as his body was too heavy for his legs, Hank’s body toppled over and started bouncing. Tom and Ben quickly chased after Hank, who kept bouncing away from them. Hank’s bouncing eventually stopped but the bounce ended with him continuing to roll quickly like a giant soccer ball.
Finally, the rolling stopped as Hank’s big and round body hit a tree. Hank was relieved as he stopped rolling and bouncing all over the town. “Hey! You finally stopped.” said Tom and Ben, panting from chasing over Hank. “I think it’s better if we roll you all the way home, Hank.” told Ben. “I guess so…” Hank replied. “Rolling me shouldn’t be too hard, since I’m full of gas.” he continued. Tom and Ben then rolled Hank with all their might, all the way to the studio. They all wondered how to get Hank into the studio as Hank would not even fit through the big garage door. However, Ben eventually got an idea. “Hey, Hank. Once we arrived at the studio, it’s my turn to bounce on you.” said Ben, panting.
