When Sankt and Caleb shrunk down to normal, they were informed of the conversation.
It was necessary, since otherwise they'd have had no idea why Bill was sitting in a chair, stunned and lost in thoughts.
The silence stretched for minutes, at the growing worry of the others.
Finally, Bill spoke.
"I'm not a god, I don't want to be a god..." he stammered. "I... Don't take it badly, Arceus, but I'm just a guy who got impossibly lucky. Just a guy, nothing more..."
"And I fully agree with you, Bill," answered the Creator.
The Mega-Swampert looked at Arceus in surprise.
"You are a god now, this is something that cannot change anymore. But you are also too, and first and foremost, just Bill, just the worker from Big Arms Inc. Me and my brethren thought that the fact we were gods made us superior to the mortals, and it was an odious mistake we paid dearly for."
Bill nodded, he knew what happened with the Great Schism.
"I know you won't do that mistake, that you won't abuse your power and status like we did."
"What if it goes to my head?! That's what happened to you after all!" protested Bill.
"We were considering ourselves superior from the very first day. Not you. You are much humbler than we were, and better for it."
"Also, if he's wrong, we'll dope slap you and get some sense back in your skull," smiled Angus.
"So don't deny yourself this gift. You're doing a favor to no one by doing so."
Bill hesitated for a few more minutes, pondering on his words.
Finally, he smiled a little.
"Feel better?" asked Angus.
"A bit."
Again, a silence, this time much shorter.
"Okay, Angus, it's your turn now," eventually said Bill. "And... Sorry, guys, but I'll go with him this time, if you don't mind."
Cid, Ralph, Silas, Niko, Anton and Don didn't mind. They, and everyone else in the place, knew the "father and son surrogates" bond the Conkeldurr and the Mega-Swampert had.
And a gargantuan, towering over the city, muscles ginormous beyond imagination flex-off was a good activity for father-son bonding and a good way of putting Bill's last worries to rest.
