It's pretty sad how the Nazis decided it was cute to take an ancient symbol and turn it into the most hated symbol our world has ever seen.

My thought exactly. A lot of cultures used them, Hindu's included.

There's a book out called "The Gentle Swastika" that describes the ancient use of the symbol. I can't recall who wrote it, but I picked up a copy at the local Barnes and Noble and found the text interesting and enlightening. The "Symbols" book by Sandra Forty does indeed describe the Swastika as a representation of the paths of the Sun.

I may have to look it up.
