Heh! I read an article on the sudden rise in popularity of "Modern" Gladiator schools that exist in Rome shortly after the film came out. Hearing the translated taunts and threats of the instructors was darkly amusing. Things like "You dance like a WOMAN!" and "My armpit stink will be the last thing you smell in this World!"
