we went into some used bookstores when they were here and enthused about the illustrations on the covers of horror/sci fi/fantasy pulp novels of the 80s and earlier -- which immediately left me with a desire to try to mimic this...figured who better to use as a test subject than one of pige's characters!
i intend to eventually take some comms in this style! it's very fun
