As a horse, Charlie spends most of his days working out in the fields whenever Mrs. Baker or one of the neighbors needs him to pull a plow out in the field. His one weakness is a humiliating slap on the rump. Despite his bad temper, he manages to keep it in check whenever it comes to field work.
