Colder colours, yeah. The colour blance is lovely, but aside from the skulls she could be an innkeeper, or maybe a royal wizard.
The mixed shape of the eyes on the mask look great to me, much like the Venetian cat masks I use in costuming. One eye is always a little different than the other. Intentional or not, that works for me.

This is the Doorway to Creepy, and this is the Greeter. This is (relatively) bright and cheery for an atmosphere of mist and vapours, but it is also like being at the twilight entrance to Creepy. You can clearly see enough details to find their implications disturbing -- and you are yet to go through that particular doorway.

Granted, Amalsand's headfur generally doesn't look like that, even if it is one of her traits that varies the most from artist to artist.
