A statement that only makes sense if you're a bat.
This is Rocket. Rocket is an old character of mine I remembered after doing a bat icon for someone on my commission account. I was reminded of how much I love bats. So I decided to scribble up Rocket in a new style. I haven't drawn him since I was sixteen :\ That was a long time ago!
Yeah, he's blind. But he uses his sonar to 'see' stuff so he's not REALLY blind (to elaborate...I use blind as 'totally sight impaired' not the standard legally blind of partially or severely sight impaired, since people are wondering). Just...bat-blind. He can probably also see blurry shapes...just not much.
Rocket belongs to me.
ALSO I know most bats aren't completely blind. Some can see as well as people and what-not...I just thought it would be fun to play on the 'blind as a bat' card.

Actually, considering that most of the people who fall under the blanket label of "blind" DO have some degree of vision (total blindness is actually pretty rare), this statement makes sense for humans too. XD

razzek, an artist here on FA. She has ROP, retinopathy of prematurity, a condition which used to be pretty common among premature babies but which is vanishing due to advances in medical technology. She's got no vision in one eye, about a tenth of the average person's in the other, has had a service dog in the past, currently uses a white cane, and yet she draws. That's an eye-opener for ya (err, pun not intended).
...all that aside: YAY BATS.

Nah, I think it's fairly friendly. He's a vampire bat, so he drinks blood, sure, but I think he'd rather have it chilled over ice with a little whiskey in it or something haha.
