Having decided to run away from home properly, Pogo sneaks into his house for the stuff he'll need. He sneaks past some of his many nephews to do it. So, may I just say: oh gosh young opossums sleeping with their noses just over the blanket how cute is that? It's more cute than even that! A big part of why I drew this panel is just the nephews sleeping with their noses on their blanket. Also appealing was trying to do that shading for the edge of the blanket, though, which turned out far better than I expected considering I forgot to put in a proper guide rule for it. The black-to-lines to the left of Pogo, and white to his right, is from the original strip, although in the strip a word balloon filled a lot of the right side of the composition. I didn't have the energy to letter a wordy balloon today.
