This is Kalus. Faithful assistant to Frankie and part of the Frankie's Snacks company in Ranvec. This fox helps Frankie with his day to day needs, pretty much, a normal life for him.
But, there is more to him. Before, he was a powerful kitsune that lived in a forest, who loved to 'play' with the tanuki villages, taking some of them to be his belly rubbers, to turn them into items, or to just gobble them up. He found it all so much fun~ At least, until five powerful tanuki sealed the kitsune's magic away, thus sealing the kitsune away. Kalus, for all he knows, believes he grew up in Ranvec as a normal fox.
That said, the seal 'can' be reversed.
With one tail: He's Kalus, the normal fox.
Tails 2-4: He starts undergoing some weight gain and gains tails. So far, his memory remains intact, he still believes to be a normal fox.
5 tails: His real memories are reintroduced, Kalus slowly remembering who he is.
Tails 6 to 8: He slowly gains back his power with each tail, his body slowly shifting further to what it once was.
9 Tails: His true form
