If it’s not a weird question, what inspired you to draw rubberized beasts (general term for all your species)?

Hahaha, it's kind of hard to imagine what an alternate reality without my rubber monsters would be like! They give me a great amount of joy so I'm happy to be in this reality at least C:

As for where I got my inspiration, it's a rather boring answer, but I think it's just a combination of:
A) I just love monster OCs in general! There's something I really adore about their otherworldly nature and all of the bizarre details that entails.
B) Probably about a decade ago, I saw pictures of inflatable/rubber pokemon, and the idea struck me as so much fun that I just started applying it to other characters. I really liked the idea so I decided to create a few of my own!

I guess in that sense, in an alternate reality without my rubber monsters, I'd probably just be making fluffy ones instead. In the end though, I love how strange my squeaks are and that kind of leaves me feeling closer to them C:
